MTB under-biking is a thing, just like over-biking. With this in mind I'm taking a 25 year old Specialized Stumpjumper FSR - XC out on the trail. This is an old full suspension mountain bike. There might be a crash in here... just saying. First we'll need to at least update the stem, bars and pedals. Yes, those are Stamp 11s on there because why not. This might be more retro-biking but it sure feels like under-biking to me... But hey, ride what you got! This MTB restoration and upgrade was worth the trouble. If you're looking for a budget full suspension mountain bike, an older bike might work for you if you don't mind a few compromises like shorter reach and steeper head angles.
