I'm not saying go out and buy $46 cranks and start shredding the mountain... I'm saying you can get these cheaply and easily and give shorter cranks a try without dropping hundreds of dollars on something that might not work for you. Since moving from a 170mm cranks to a set of AliExpress Goldix 160mm cranks I've learned a thing or two. The most important thing I learned though was get a smaller tooth chainring! Next to the cheapness of the cranks - the number one comment on the previous video was I needed a smaller chainring - and they were right! Going from the 36t to the 30t made a huge difference. It was a cold day out there but it's better to be freezing on a trail ride than sitting on the couch. #mountainbike #mtb #mtblife
