Today’s the day… the massive vinyl move officially begins. I’m packing more than 4,000 records from floor to ceiling and putting the BCW record boxes to the ultimate real-world test. This room has been my sanctuary for years, so breaking it down is bittersweet — but it’s time to get everything ready for the new home and new listening room. In this video, I walk through how I pack my collection safely using BCW’s heavy-duty record boxes, how they’re assembled, how much they hold, and the simple tricks that make moving huge collections easier and safer. If you’re planning a move or just want better long-term storage, these boxes are a game-changer. You can check out the boxes I’m using here: https://bcwsupplies.com Thank you for BCW Supplies for proving boxes for the move. 📦 More videos from the move series are coming soon — packing, relocating, and building the new room. Let’s get into it. #VinylRecords #VinylCommunity #RecordCollection #NowSpinning #VinylStorage #RecordCollector #VinylAddict #CrateDigging #MusicLovers #Audiophile

About This Video

Today’s the day the big move officially starts, and yeah… it got out of hand fast. I’m packing up 4,000+ records from floor to ceiling—records in the room, outside the room, in corners, even up top with those pretty silver MoFi UHQR spines. This listening room has been my sanctuary for years, so breaking it down is honestly bittersweet, but there’s nothing to it but to do it. In this video I put BCW’s heavy-duty record boxes through a real-world stress test and walk you step-by-step through how I assemble them, load them, label them, and stack them for a safe move. I show a couple simple tricks that make a huge difference—like numbering boxes by IKEA Kallax cube (I literally mark where I started and ended), using a paper clip to keep that little flap from fighting you while you load, and packing records tight by sliding from the bottom to maximize capacity. One box can handle about a full cube, and if you pack smart you can push it to about a cube and a quarter. The goal is simple: keep corners crisp, keep records protected, and make unloading painless in the new listening room.
