This is Part 2 of the massive Vinyl Latte move — and today the real work begins. Shane has officially landed from Australia, we’re deep into day two and three of packing, and we’ve reached the point where the next U-Haul truck is ready to load. The system is broken down, thousands of records are boxed, the room is emptying fast, and the emotions are starting to hit. In this video, we continue packing the collection, tear down the shelves, prep the stereo, and start loading everything into the truck. You’ll see time-lapses, behind-the-scenes chaos, laughs with Shane and my brother Josh, and the bittersweet final moments inside a room that’s been my sanctuary for years. Next up in the series: finishing the load and the big relocation to Central Florida — plus rebuilding the entire listening room from scratch. If you missed Part 1 (packing 4,500 records), you can watch it here: https://youtu.be/dMChpbfkyaQ Thanks for joining the journey — this is one for the books. #VinylCommunity #VinylRecords #RecordCollection #MovingDay #Audiophile #NowSpinning #VinylStorage #RecordCollector #ListeningRoom #HomeAudio #PackingTips #MusicLovers

About This Video

This video is Part 2 of my massive move, and this is where it really starts to get intense. I’m picking up Shane from the airport (he flew in from Australia) because I’m not doing this listening room teardown solo. By day two and three, it’s full-on crunch time: thousands of records are boxed, the system is getting broken down, and we’re staring at the reality of loading a 20-foot U-Haul with a collection that’s honestly bigger than I first estimated. The BCW boxes made packing way easier than I expected, but I still had to order more because… yeah, I underestimated how many records I actually own. We talk a lot about what comes next too—moving to Central Florida and rebuilding the system in a living space that has to work for real life (and yes, spousal approval is a thing). Shane and I also get into the bigger audiophile takeaway: if you keep buying gear but ignore your room, you’re leaving huge performance on the table. I’m excited for a bigger space because my current setup has been overpowering this room, and what I’ve been chasing most is more depth and a wider, more immersive soundstage—without needing surround sound or digital tricks. And I’ll be honest: packing up the room gets emotional. This place has been my sanctuary for years, and watching the record wall turn into a blank wall hits different.
