Then there’s the aspect ratio management: instead of living with black bars on a 16:9 screen, the Envy can intelligently handle scope content with nonlinear stretch options that try to keep the center geometry natural while using the edges for the “work.” On the source side, Kaleidescape’s pitch is simple: streaming is the weak link, and their local downloads deliver the full, studio-grade file so you keep the fine details—like the tiny breaths and micro-dynamics that disappear when the data gets squeezed.
