Today I’m opening the rarest vinyl collection I’ve ever brought onto the channel — a complete Mobile Fidelity UHQR set. All eight UHQR titles are here, including some of the most sought-after audiophile pressings ever made: Sgt. Pepper, Dark Side of the Moon, Crime of the Century, T for the Tillerman, I Robot, and more. These records were graded near mint with VG+ covers, and the condition is unreal. In this video, we unbox the entire set, look at the packaging, check the inserts and certificates, and take a close look at the vinyl itself. If you're a collector or a MoFi/UHQR fan, this one is special. Let me know in the comments which title you’d spin first. About This Video

You ever get a box full of records that you just cannot wait to open? That’s exactly where I’m at in this video, because I’m unboxing the rarest complete collection I’ve ever bought: the full Mobile Fidelity UHQR series—every single one of the eight official early-80s releases. These were pressed at JVC in Japan on that proprietary “super vinyl” compound, and they use that UHQR flat-profile pressing technique that’s designed to reduce inner-groove distortion. On top of that, this set was graded with no cover under VG+ and the vinyl itself is straight-up near mint—honestly, some of these look like they’ve barely been played. I walk you through the packaging details that make UHQRs so collectible: the big box presentation, the technical spec sheets, the padding, the original Mobile Fidelity sleeves, and the certificates of authenticity with numbered pressings (and yes, real signatures). I focus on the heavy hitters most of you care about—Dark Side of the Moon, Sgt. Pepper, Crime of the Century, and I Robot—showing close-ups under the light so you can see how clean these pressings are. And even though they look pristine, I’m still ultrasonic cleaning every record before my needle touches it. From here, my plan is to capture the magic the best I can—DSD128 transfers and short clips where possible—so you can hear what makes these UHQRs such grails.
