In this Life Update / Craft With Me, I’m sitting down with you guys and actually using a Maggie Holmes card kit I got in a big American Crafts mystery box. I flip through what’s in the kit, pull out the puffy stickers and little bits (including some washi), and put a card together while I chit chat. You’ll see me problem-solve in real time too—my glue situation was not it, so I grabbed what I had (hello, glossy accents) and kept it moving. And yes… I still tried to bring a little blue in because you guys know I don’t love pink, but I wanted to “get the pink out of my stash.” While I craft, I share where I’ve been the last several months and why I’ve been off and on YouTube. My dad is still very sick and on bed rest, I’m still helping with his wound care, and we’re constantly at appointments (sometimes twice a week). We also lost my papa after 12 days in the hospital, and I’ve been helping my aunt with arrangements, memorial cards, and flowers—so it’s been heavy. I also talk budget travel plans (because you know I will always do the deal): a restricted Disney cruise out of San Diego, and our first big international trip to Singapore—basic economy and all—plus my dream of trying affordable Michelin-star food while we’re there.
