I pulled up to World of Concrete 2026 and linked up with the “Dean of Spyder University” to see what Spyder Tools is cooking up—and I’ll be honest, they’re punching above their weight right now. We got hands-on with their solid carbide head SDS Max bits (four cutters fused to the bit), and the speed was legit. I’ve barely seen full-carbide heads like that out in the wild, so seeing Spyder bring it to market was a surprise in the best way. From there we hit a bunch of real jobsite pain points: spline drive impact sockets that grab everything (6-point, 12-point, rounded, star) so you’re not swapping sockets, and a diamond blade demo cutting 2-inch steel tubing that’s concrete-filled with rebar—wild, but it proves the point. We also looked at TCT hole saws with Rapid Core Eject (because nobody likes digging plugs out), plus the stacked-cup hack to enlarge a hole without messing with a template. Add in self-feeding spade bits, a 3x3 recip blade that cuts in three directions without flipping your saw, nail-strike resistant auger bits, and Mach Blue tech for drilling stainless without cooking it. The theme is simple: faster cuts, less tool strain, and better battery life—because batteries are consumables.
