I Instantly REGRETTED Walking on This Frozen Loch

Happy New Year! We kicked off 2026 the only way we know how… chasing snow in Scotland 🏔️🐾 We found ourselves up at the top car park in Aviemore (Cairngorms), the dogs had the time of their lives, and the views were unreal… until the mountain staff rolled in and told everyone to leave ASAP because the weather was about to get seriously snowy. So we de-Christmased the van (after a decoration attacked Emma 😅), scraped frozen wipers free, and headed down the mountain in proper winter conditions. But the drama didn’t stop there… Last night’s “buffet” was an absolute disaster and let’s just say… we didn’t know which end it was going to come out of 💀 So New Year’s Day starts in a Tesco car park with Neil fighting for his life 😭😂 To recover, we go on a mission for: ✅ a proper waterproof jacket (with the essential chest pocket) ✅ decent food (finally) ✅ coffee that doesn’t disappoint …and we end up finding one of the best meals we’ve had in ages at Café Mambo 🍟🌭 (vegan hot dog was spot on). Then it’s onto an epic winter park-up by a frozen lake… where Neil ignores common sense and ends up stepping straight through the ice 🤦♂️🧊 (yes, it’s in the video).
