It’s a strategic 40-minute HIIT circuit built on structural balance principles from the Unified Movement System (UMS). Most HIIT workouts chase fatigue. This one protects performance. Inside the UMS, we normally separate movement patterns across the week — squats, hinges, pushes, pulls — to maximise strength and recovery. This session is different by design. Here, we use a time-based body composition circuit: 40 seconds work 30 seconds rest The goal isn’t max load. The goal is body composition — improving muscle relative to body fat. To do that, we deliberately disrupt metabolic homeostasis. Your body loves routine. This training gently shakes that routine again and again, forcing adaptation. That’s why this workout uses compound movements only. No machines. No assisted paths. Squats, hinges, presses, and pulls demand: Core bracing Hip and shoulder stability Whole-body coordination More muscles working means a higher energy cost, better calorie burn, and real carryover to strength, mobility, and athletic performance.
