What’s up everybody—Chrisley back with another United Destiny Entertainment tutorial. In this video I’m showing you exactly how to start recording in Cakewalk (BandLab) using my custom session template. And yes, Cakewalk is absolutely free, but it’s still powerful like Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton, and FL Studio. Once you open the template, everything is already laid out for you: a beat track, lead vocals, doubles, hooks (panned left and right for a fuller sound), ad-libs, plus aux tracks for reverb and delay. I walk you through importing your instrumental (WAV or MP3), where to record each vocal part, and how to tweak the stock plugins so your vocals actually punch through the mix. I also explain my vocal effects chain setup, so you can stack multiple plugins without eating up all your insert slots. Then we get into the real talk: no preset fits everybody. If your vocals sound too thin, too bright, too muffled, or the delay doesn’t match the beat, you’ve got to adjust the EQ, compression, reverb, delay, and BPM using your ear. I also cover the recording side—make sure your audio interface is selected for input/output, match your sample rates (44.1k vs 48k), record at 24-bit, and consider increasing buffer size if you’re clipping. And if you want better quality, I’m telling you: stop relying on USB mics—get a condenser mic and an interface, plus a pop filter and some basic room treatment.
