What’s up everybody—Chrisley back with another United Destiny Entertainment tutorial. In this video I’m showing you how I produced a dark, spooky “Takeoff (Migos)” type beat, RIP. I wanted to make something in that lane because Takeoff was one of my favorite artists out of the Migos—his style, his flow, and the fact he stayed out of the drama. So I kept the vibe respectful and focused on building a simple, dark melody that an artist could really ride. I start the beat with a soft piano from LABS (Spitfire Audio) and build the main melody by playing in a basic pattern, then adjusting notes, copying them down, and testing different directions until it feels right. I also talk through the mindset: you don’t have to add a whole bunch of stuff—sometimes you’ve gotta leave the beat open so the artist can do their thing. Once the melody is vibing, that’s when you can go back later, add reverb, open it up, and make things pop if you want. The main takeaway is simple: get the mood right first, keep it basic, and let the track breathe.
