Underground Metal Detecting at the Abandoned Oppenheim Zoo in Niagara Falls, NY

The Oppenheim Zoo existed from 1943 until it was finally closed in 1988 due to ground water issues and a pending lawsuit from the Dept of Agriculture involving the Animal Welfare Act. Essentially animals were playing too much in the mud since there were water drainage issues - which led to the closure of the zoo.
