In this one I’m showing a super simple (and super inexpensive) way to help people actually find your bathroom—especially if you’re running an Airbnb, you’ve got guests who’ve never been in your house, or you’ve got toddlers running around asking “where’s the bathroom?” I picked up these adhesive washroom cutout signs and put them right on my downstairs bathroom door so it’s obvious where to go, but still looks cool and a little quirky. I walk through the quick install step-by-step: I mark the door with tape, measure the width, subtract 5 inches (because that’s the space across both cutouts), and then center everything so it looks clean. I’m using a small level to make sure the male and female icons are nice and plumb before I press them down, and I don’t press super tight at first so I still have the option to remove and adjust. The final step is peeling off the excess plastic, and it reveals that nice glossy finish. End result? I think it looks pretty cool—and it’s a simple decor upgrade that’s actually useful.
