Homvana Hybrid Ultrasonic Humidifier 2022 Review

Homvana sent me this humidifier free of charge for the purposes of this review. I put it through its paces for a few days, and I've got some thoughts to share! So this is my very first home humidifier, and I think it was a good one to start with. The Homvana Hybrid Ultrasonic Humidifier features a 6.5 liter water tank and a large display to keep track of your settings, as well as the temperature and relative humidity. From the front panel of the device, or the handy remote control, you can set multiple mist levels, and you even have the option of using heated mist. There's a sleep mode that disables the front display to avoid distractions, a child lock to disable the controls, and the ability to set a target relative humidity for your room. There is also an Auto Mode that will let the machine handle the mist settings on its own as it attempts to hit a relative humidity of 60 percent. There's even what Homvana calls an "Aroma Box" - a removeable tray where you can add your favorite essential oil to the humidifier to enhance the misting experience. It's all really cool! The removable water tank is easy to fill thanks to a large water opening, and there is an adjustable mist sprayer on the lid. Homvana recommends using purified or distilled water for best results. I did not do a thorough cleaning of the humidifier during my time reviewing it, but Homvana includes a cleaning brush and an extra descaling pad (there's one preinstalled in the humidifier). Removing the water tank reveals most of the components that require cleaning, and Homvana recommends a damp cloth and some distilled white vinegar as your cleaning tools. One place where the humidifier didn't live up to my expectations was when it came to setting the relative humidity level - I could not get the humidifier to reach 60 percent relative humidity. I tried it in a large living room and a smaller bedroom. In the living room the humidity hovered in the mid 40's. In the bedroom it got into the low 50's, but even after several hours of continuous misting, it did not hit the 60 percent relative humidity goal of "Auto Mode." It also did not hit it when I manually took over the settings. But I still feel that the machine added nicely to the humidity of my environment. The packaging claims the humidifier can provide up to 72 hours of continuous misting, but in my time using the machine for this video, I ran the humidifier at the highest heat and mist settings and got about 12 - 13 hours of misting. I believe it is very possible the humidifier can hit somewhere close to the 72 hour mark on the lowest settings, but I did not have a chance to fully test that during my review. I intend to complete my testing and update this description with my findings. UPDATED TEST RESULTS 2/23/22: In my current run at lowest settings, the humidifier produced mist for over 72 hours on a single tank of water! Please note: I paused the humidifier a few times during testing but these pauses were taken into account during timing. In the future, I would NOT personally use a single tank of water for this long. I plan to change the water every day or two to keep the water supply fresh. Overall I am pleased with my first humidifier. Many thanks to Homvana for sending it to me! Thanks for watching!
