Amazon Fire Max 11 Review! The Best Prime Day Tablet?

The Fire Max 11 is currently the newest tablet in the Fire lineup. It is also one of the most premium Fire tablets Amazon has released yet, featuring aluminum construction that gives the Fire lineup a device with build quality to rival some of the high end options on the market. The Fire Max 11 boasts an 11 inch screen with a resolution of 2000 x 1200. Videos and games look great, and reading e-books is a pleasure - though if you plan to use this tablet as an e-reader, long reading sessions might be a little taxing on your hands, since this device is much larger than previous Fires. It also has stereo speakers, but sadly, no headphone jack. The Fire Max 11 features 4 gigs of memory and an Octa-Core processor. You can outfit your Fire Max 11 with 64 or 128 gigs of storage space, and the tablet will take Micro SD cards up to 1 terabyte! 8 megapixel cameras adorn the front and rear of the device, and they provide up to 1080p video quality, which is great for video calls. The rear camera also features autofocus, and the tablet packs in Wifi 6. Speaking of pack-ins, Amazon includes a 9w power adaptor in the box! Amazon has really gone all out with optional accessories this time around, and I touch upon those in the video, even though I only currently own one of them. There is an active stylus, a magnetic slim cover, and my personal favorite - a keyboard case! While previous Fires have felt like devices mostly geared toward content consumption, these new input options definitely open the door for content creation on the Fire Max 11. You wont find the Google Play Store or YouTube installed on this device right out of the box, but there are ways you can still use them if you do some research. But Fire OS is smooth, simple, and puts you in a great position to access Amazon Shopping, Kindle, Audible, and of course, Amazon Alexa. If you are a Prime user, this tablet could potentially be a great companions. This is also the first Amazon Fire tablet to feature a fingerprint sensor. It's a great touch, and like the aluminum build quality, it really helps bring this tablet a little closer to some of the more expensive tablets on the market. I really like this tablet so far. It is MUCH bigger than my Fire HD8, so the size is going to take some getting used to, but I appreciate the extra screen real estate and resolution. I preordered this tablet when it was first announced, which hurts a bit seeing the incredible discount Amazon is offering for Prime Day, but I have no regrets! I have been using Fire tablets since the original Kindle Fire, way back in 2011, and I will probably continue to use them for years to come. They may not have every feature of more expensive slates, but they do a lot for the price and I've always been very happy with my Fire devices :) And as usual, my dog was happy to get involved in the filming of this video. At 1:51 in this video, I mention that this is the first Fire tablet with an aluminum body. However, it was brought to my attention that this is actually not the first aluminum Fire tablet.
