This tablet sits in the middle of the Fire line, only topped by the Fire HD 10 and HD 10 Plus. But I think a lot of folks will be very happy with the Fire HD 8 Plus tablet. While this tablet has a bigger, better screen than the Fire 7, it still manages to remain affordable - especially if you're able to find it during one of its semi-frequent price drops. It's a great device for reading and taking advantage of Amazon's ecosystem. It even features Alexa! While the Amazon Fire HD8 Plus only seems to come in a textured gray finish, there are a number of additional colors available if you opt for the standard Fire HD 8 tablet. The 2022 Fire HD 8 Plus is differentiated from the standard HD 8 by having more ram, wireless charging, a beefier charging brick, and the aforementioned gray finish. I think it is a solid upgrade over the standard model. Both are fine budget oriented tablets and should be great for content consumption!
