Title: AI-enabled chemical imaging for digital histopathology Description: Pathology has traditionally relied on expert examination of stained tissue sections. Dr. Bhargava's talk will introduce chemical imaging, which records the inherent molecular composition of samples for a complementary interpretation of tissue structure. He will show how extensive data recorded per sample, at each pixel, is used with AI workflows to provide accurate pathology insights, from generating clinically stained images without stains to making complex disease recurrence decisions. He will conclude by discussing the prospects of using chemical imaging to enhance traditional pathology with faster instruments, rapid information, and new cellular insights. Speaker: Rohit Bhargava, PhD. Director, Cancer Center at Illinois Professor, Bioengineering Director, Tissue Microenvironment Training Program University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign" Date: January 23, 2024 The University of Washington is committed to ensuring digital accessibility in our services, programs, and activities.
