The shores of Lake Washington connect the University of Washington campus to the natural beauty of the greater Seattle area. Located to the east of the UW Athletics village, the campus touches Union Bay and the UW Center for Urban Horticulture which is just south of University Village. The lake is also home to the SR 520 bridge, currently holding the record as the longest floating bridge in the world. On clearer days, the Bellevue city skyline can be seen in the distance along with the Cascade mountains.
