Apple Podcasts launches video podcasts (2026)

Now you can watch video inside Apple Podcasts (streaming via HLS)! Video podcasts are what got me into podcasting back in 2007. I would go on iTunes, browse video podcasts like @diggnation, @ThisWeekinTech, @Tekzilla, and sync them to my iPod for my bus commute. Now, ~20 years later, and Transistor.fm is proud to be one of the initial hosting partners for Apple's new HLS video program. Full circle! @beardfm is our first beta customer and has video episodes on his shows: Primary Technology and Movies on the Side. BTW – audio-only podcasts aren't going away!
