Video podcasts aren't new: Steve Jobs demoed them on stage in 2005. Shows like @diggnation, @rocketboom, and Tiki Bar TV were building massive audiences through podcast RSS feeds long before YouTube took over. The idea that "podcasts are audio-only" is mostly an artifact of Apple neglecting video in its Podcasts app from 2012–2025.
