Poisoned Cue in Dog Training

Dogs can sometimes stop responding to our cues and what we ask because we have inadvertently established a poised cue. Poisoned cues in dog training are more common than we might think. This video explores the concepts behind poisoned cues and teaches how to avoid them when interacting with and training dogs and puppies. This video also explains why hugging dogs can be a very unwanted experience from the dog’s point of view. It explains some research from Psychologist Stanley Coren that found that more than 80% of dogs show signs of anxiety and stress when being hugged.
