When you’re day trading, your platform is basically your interface to execution, data, and risk management. I break down the idea that there isn’t one “best” platform for everyone, and why the right choice depends on what you’re actually doing: are you scalping, taking A+ setups, reading tape/Level 2, or just trying to get clean entries and exits without getting cooked by bad fills? I also cover what I’d focus on when you’re comparing platforms: how stable it is during volatility, how fast and clean your order routing feels, whether hotkeys and bracket orders are actually usable, and how much the platform helps or hurts your process. The main takeaway is simple: pick a platform that matches your style, then get consistent with it. Most people platform-hop because they think the platform is the problem—when really it’s lack of a system, lack of reps, or not understanding execution and risk.
