Lately everybody’s been losing their minds over Jack White’s Fender Panoverb, and yeah—high praise is deserved. It’s a super cool idea: 15" plus 10" speakers, stereo vibrato you can throw on both speakers or just the 10", and that big, wide “Panoverb” vibe. The problem is it’s expensive, it’s out of stock, and from what I understand Fender has to work pretty hard to build them—so they’re probably gonna stay hard to get. So in this video I do what we do around here: I break out the toys and try to get that Panoverb sound without actually owning the Panoverb. I run my guitar into my Ashwa Tone Priesta for a little hair, split the mono signal into two paths with my Clockwork Matrix splitter/mixer, then hit a stereo verb. One side goes to my weird, one-of-a-kind vintage Magnatone situation pushing a vintage 15" Jensen Concert (purple jewel included, because that’s how we roll). The other side hits my Robinet Design Naked Deluxe build with a little extra reverb from my old Ghost Echo clone. The takeaway is simple: you don’t need the exact amp—get a stereo harmonic tremolo, a way to split mono to stereo, and a reverb, and you can get convincingly close (and yes, even do it in the computer).
