About This Video

This video is basically me holding up a month of sewing… and then realising my sewing room has quietly turned into a scrap factory. I walk you through what I made over the month (a mix of quick wins and more involved projects), and then I show you the actual pile of offcuts that happened along the way. It’s one of those satisfying-but-also-slightly-horrifying moments where you can literally see the “hidden cost” of each make sitting there in fabric form. I also chat through how I think about scraps when I’m sewing a capsule wardrobe, because I’m trying to be intentional with what I buy and what I keep. Scraps aren’t automatically rubbish, but they do need a system—otherwise they just become clutter you feel guilty about. I share the kind of scraps I keep, what I’m more ruthless about, and a few ideas for turning the leftovers into future projects (or at least stopping them from multiplying unchecked). If you’ve ever finished a project feeling proud… and then looked down at the mess like “oh,” this one’s for you.
