In this video I’m giving you my totally honest review of whether the Pattern Swap Challenge actually worked for me. The whole point is you get a mystery pattern (so, no careful planning, no “I’ll just pick something I know I love”), and you have to make it wearable. I walk you through my creative process, what I did to make the pattern feel like “me,” and the reality of trying to build something capsule-wardrobe friendly when the starting point is a surprise. The pattern I’m tackling is the Noa Pinafore, and I’m not going to sugar-coat it: the biggest challenge was fit. I had fit issues, and that definitely shaped how I approached the make and how I judge the final result. I share my hints and tips for sewing it, what I’d watch out for if you’re thinking of trying the pattern, and what I’d do differently next time so it’s not just a “challenge make,” but a piece you’ll actually reach for.
