On camera you might not fully see it, but in person the image quality jump is real. I also talk about the 11-inch 1920x1200 120Hz IPS display (super bright compared to the original), the programmable buttons (I mapped one to the light and one to the projector), and the surprisingly good cameras—including an infrared camera that can see in pitch-black. My only real knock is the weight. It’s heavy, and you’re gonna want two hands or a stand. But overall? Thumbs up—8849 is knocking it out the park, they just need to tighten up software update support.
