No fluff—just the common causes I see most often and the fastest ways to rule them out. I start with the basics: loose or faulty connections. If your HDMI or DisplayPort cable isn’t seated properly at the dock or the monitor, you’ll get a blank screen. I also use the old trick—unplug it and plug it back in—and I make sure the USB-C connection is fully secure. Next, I cover power, because a dock that isn’t getting enough juice can’t reliably drive an external display. If your model uses an external power adapter, I verify it’s connected and working. I also check that the USB-C cable supports Power Delivery (PD), since not every USB-C cable can provide the power the dock needs. From there, I move into software: updating or installing the correct display drivers through Device Manager, or grabbing the latest drivers directly from J5create’s driver page (and matching them to your specific model).
