In this video I’m testing the Waveform ProLink outdoor 5G antenna/modem (powered by Elsis) and seeing if it can fix the #1 problem people have with 5G home internet: inconsistent speeds and a weak, noisy connection. The big idea here is simple—this is a full modem + directional high-gain antenna in one IP65-rated outdoor package, and it works with T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon. You get PoE (which I love), an included 50 ft Ethernet cable, a window pass-through kit so you don’t have to drill holes, and a 2.5GbE port so you’re not stuck with the gigabit bottleneck most ISP gateways have. I walk through the ProLink interface and the stuff that actually matters when you’re aiming a directional antenna: signal level, signal quality, and SINR (signal to interference + noise). I’m in New York City with tons of towers and interference, so placement took me hours—but once dialed in, the results were wild. My speed jumped from 409/77 to 761/203 (with a ~39ms ping), and over multiple days I saw spikes into the 800s while still being honest about real-world congestion and throttling. The takeaway: ProLink can absolutely boost speeds and stability, but no one can “guarantee” your numbers—5G is still 5G.
