Straight on, both phones look great, but once you start shifting to the side, you can see how each one blocks the view—and I show it at both regular privacy and maximum privacy settings. The big takeaway is this: the screen protector can do a solid job from the side, but Samsung’s built-in option is way more flexible. The S26 Ultra can block views in both portrait and landscape (screen protectors usually don’t), and you can set it up per app—so I have mine kick on automatically for banking apps like Coinbase. That means I’m not living with a dimmer screen 24/7 like you do with a privacy protector. Is it perfect? No. But I’d say it blocks about 95% in real use, and I personally don’t see an issue with headaches or eye fatigue—your results might vary.
