In this video I’m doing a pretty big NAS upgrade—moving my existing hard drives out of the UGREEN DH4300 (super budget-friendly, compact, and portable) and into a much more powerful UGREEN AI series box, the IDX6011 Pro. The whole point here is showing you how to upgrade the safe way inside UGOS Pro, and the big takeaway is: if you’re going from one UGREEN NAS to another, it’s an easy process and you shouldn’t be stressing about data loss. I walk you through the exact steps I use: pull the drives, keep them in the same order (don’t mix up drive 1, 2, 3, and 4), install them into the new NAS, then open the Storage app and verify everything is detected correctly. From there, you go to Hard Drive, hit the option menu, choose “Use,” select Internal Storage, confirm your RAID configuration (mine shows RAID 5 with four drives), enter your password, and you’re basically done. After that, I verify the storage pools restore properly and my shared folders/files show up exactly as I left them—flawless, like it’s been every time I’ve done this swap between UGREEN systems. UGOS Pro has honestly been reliable and comprehensive for my needs, and with Docker support, you can install pretty much whatever you want.
