Whether you're a flight attendant catching a 4 a.m. van ride, a traveling nurse working back-to-back shifts, or anyone constantly on the move, this smoothie is designed to travel well, keep you satisfied, and help you avoid expensive airport or vending machine food. Recipe: Healthy Breakfast Smoothie 2 tablespoons of hemp hearts (seeds) 1 tablespoon of ground flax (cold milled) organic if possible. 1 tablespoon of extra virgin coconut oil 1 scoop of Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides 1/2 cup of coconut milk (great for omega 3) or Almond Vanilla Milk ¼ of an avocado 2 to 3 brazil nuts A handful of organic baby kale, baby spinach, baby chard or just baby kale or spinach (you can buy this at Sam's Club for approximately $5 for a large tub of it) 1 frozen banana Frozen Sweet Dark Cherries (1 cup) *I add a tablespoon of gelled chia seed to the mixture before blending. Optional: Cacao powder (1 tablespoon) can use this with banana instead of adding other fruit. blueberries orange pineapple small apple mangoes peaches Blend all ingredients in your Vitamix or a strong blender. *When I make my pre-packs for my Smoothies, I put the powders, and kale/spinach in the bag first and then add the fruit. This way the fruit is the first thing to go in the blender and is closer to the blades.
