Greek yogurt in the instant pot is a simple video showing you step by step how easy it is to make Greek yogurt. So easy and tastes so good! Recipe: 1/2 gallon of 2% or whole milk 1/2 cup of yogurt containing active cultures Turn IP on yogurt. Hold yogurt display button down until the word BOIL appears on the screen. Add 1/2 gallon of 2% or whole milk to the IP. Put lid on. *You can use a glass lid or IP lid. Once it's come to a boil it will read YoGT. Use a thermometer to make sure it's reading between 180° F and 185° F. (I use a 6 quart IP and it's always at the right temp. In my 8 quart IP, I have to put it on simmer for a few minutes and keep a close eye on it.) Once it's at approximately 185° F, I put it in an ice bath. Keep a close eye on it because you want it to come down to between 110° to 115° F. Now, dry the outside of the liner pan and place it back inside your IP. Add your 1/2 cup of plain Greek yogurt. Mix well. Now turn IP on Yogurt and press it until it reads normal. I turn the time to 10 hours. If you like your yogurt less tart, you can press 8 hours. The IP will count up when using the yogurt function. When it is done, it will read YoGT. I pour it into a fine mesh strainer and I have the strainer over a bowl. (I line the strainer with a coffee filter.) Cover it with plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator over night or for a couple of hours. Put yogurt in an airtight container. Will last up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
