Treat yourself to a delicious holiday classic with this easy Peppermint Bark recipe! This simple Christmas favorite comes together in just minutes and makes a perfect gift, party treat, or cozy winter snack. With creamy layers of chocolate and a refreshing peppermint crunch, it’s a festive dessert anyone can make. Whether you’re preparing goodies for friends, family, or holiday gatherings, this bark adds a touch of joy and sweetness to the season. Grab your ingredients and let’s create something merry and bright! Peppermint Bark Ingredients 12 oz high-quality dark chocolate chips (or semi-sweet chocolate if you prefer) 12 oz white chocolate chips 1 teaspoon peppermint extract (optional, but strengthens flavor) or 12 to 15 drops of Peppermint oil (food grade only) 6 or 7 candy canes, crushed (I prefer 7) Instructions Line a baking sheet or 9 x 13 dish with parchment paper. Melt the Dark Chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20–30 second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. Stir in ½ teaspoon peppermint extract if using. Pour onto the parchment and smooth into an even layer. Chill in the refrigerator 10–15 minutes to firm slightly. Melt the White Chocolate the same way as before. Stir in ½ tsp peppermint extract (optional). Pour gently over the set dark chocolate layer and spread evenly. Immediately sprinkle crushed candy canes on top and gently press them in so they set. Refrigerate 20–30 minutes until fully hardened. (Don’t leave much longer or it will be harder to break apart.) Use your hands or a knife to crack into rustic pieces. Tips Make sure the dark chocolate layer is not fully frozen before adding the white chocolate, or the layers can separate. You can swirl the two chocolates lightly for a marbled look. Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks. 00:00 Introduction 00:22 Melt dark chocolate chips 01:48 Add peppermint extract 02:02 Spread the chocolate on pan 03:24 Refrigerate chocolate 03:42 Crush candy canes 04:55 Melt white chocolate 05:10 Add peppermint extract to white chocolate 05:23 Spread white chocolate on top 06:15 Spread peppermint candy on top 07:11 Break up the bark 08:11 Plated peppermint bark 08:58 Blooper reel Equipment I frequently use: Feppo Mattress Vacuum Sweeper https://amzn.to/4lzvwSh Deodorant containers: https://amzn.to/3HHGQ0p Presto Electric Skillet https://amzn.to/4jcxbfQ Instant Vortex Pro Air Fryer https://amzn.to/40ZR2IE Ninja Blender, Compact Kitchen System https://amzn.to/4hDONAW Power Smokeless Grill https://amzn.to/40kCmCw The 8 quart instant pot https://amzn.to/3Cmnn2U Ninja Air Fryer https://amzn.to/3C9GhtX You can find my Ninja here: https://amzn.to/3Wofxg8 Hamilton Beach Bread Machine https://amzn.to/3C2NYSN -------DISCLAIMER------- Amazon affiliate links have the potential to earn me a small commission which is what helps to keep the channel running and helps me have the opportunity to continue making videos such as this one.
