FM Global researchers recall a series of three bedroom fire tests that were performed at the Norwood, Massachusetts (USA) site in the 1970s as part of the Home Fire Project, widely considered a pivotal work in fire science. The project was a collaborative effort between Factory Mutual Research Corporation (now known as FM Global) and Harvard University and was funded by the National Science Foundation.
