We have had CCR's, Closed Circuit Rebreathers, at Deefer Diving for about 5 years. Until recently Nora had never really wanted to dive bubble free and in truth was a little bit intimidated by the units, the technology, and the 'Unknown unknowns'. This changed earlier this year when Nora had the opportunity to take the IANTD Recreation CCR diver and Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures courses on our KISS Rebreathers. It was an interesting transition for Nora as she went through the learning process and gained valuable experience. Now, after more than 1600 minutes of diving a rebreather, Nora wanted to share the story of her journey. Rebreather technology is a lot older than many people think, with the first closed circuit rebreathers being used more than 50 years before Cousteau is accredited with making the first modern Aqualung. It just took a long time to technology to advance sufficient to make it safe enough for the average woman in the street. Diving bubble free is a truly unique experience, as you can not only dive deeper, and longer, but silently too. This makes your wildlife encounters just a lot more close and...... If you have any questions about learning to dive CCR and Nora's journey, feel free to drop her a message below and she'll be happy to walk you through her thoughts and experiences. We use a combination of KISS Spirity mCCR's at Deefer, as well as having an AP Inspiration eCCR too. Details of their products can be found here: ======================================= https://www.kissrebreathers.com ======================================= Nora also referenced this video Jon and Gary produced a few years back about how a rebreather works. It's well worth a watch as it really helps to understand what the technology is doing for you in simple terms... https://youtu.be/Ri52KsTGJZQ 👉 FOLLOW US ON SOCIALS: Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/TheDiveHub/ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/thedivehubphilippines/ Website - https://thedivehub.com #CCR #TechDiving #Scuba #ScubaDiving #ScubaDiver #ScubaDivingIsLife
