About This Video

What was supposed to be a simple run to the store turned into a full-on “Chrome, you idiot” moment. I stopped to grab the mail, looked back, and there was water absolutely gushing out the back of the van—bags soaked to the core, puddles in the door, water up the paneling… the whole deal. Turns out I filled my water tank the day before, it was raining, I put the hose away, and I straight-up forgot to put the cap back on. So the second I hit the throttle that morning, it started dumping water everywhere. Back at the shop I tore into the rear area to make sure I didn’t just nuke the most important cabinet in the van—my entire heating system that runs hot water, floors, outside shower, and the air exchanger. Huge relief: it wasn’t soaked in there, and it looks like the water mostly pooled and poured into the bags and the back door area. While I’m fighting a gnarly sick-day voice and trying to get back on track after months of grinding, I also share what’s been going on mentally—burnout, workload, and why I still pick up the camera even on the off days. I link two videos from Peter McKinnon and Casey Neistat that hit exactly where I’m at right now: creativity, energy, and the satisfaction of simply hitting upload.
