What’s going on Cryptocurrency Universe, it’s The Bitcoin Miner here. In this video I’m pushing my Threadripper 3990X monster to see what it can really do on Chia—plotting 35 plots in parallel while farming at the same time, and still having enough headroom to CPU mine Verus and GPU mine Ethereum. I’m sitting around ~28,000 seconds per plot (about 7 hours) at 35 in parallel, and the crazy part is I still can’t fully tax this thing the way you’d think. This is the kind of “ultimate plotter” setup—64 cores, 256GB RAM, high-endurance Intel SSDs—and it just keeps rocking. The big takeaway: my bottleneck isn’t the CPU or the RAM… it’s the SSDs. Once you start pushing past a certain number of parallel plots, those drives are what slow you down, not the Threadripper. I also show you what the whole “triple mining” setup looks like from a power and profitability angle—roughly ~650W while doing all of it, with Verus bringing in around a few bucks a day and Ethereum adding more on top while I’m plotting.
