About This Video

What’s going on cryptocurrency universe, it’s The Bitcoin Miner here. In this video I’m back at my dad’s house to give you guys a long-overdue update and a fresh tour of what used to be “the 108 GPU setup,” but has honestly evolved into a full-on mixed mining room. The space is way more crammed than it was in the original build, but it’s been steady—most of the rigs have been running from day one, and over the years we’ve added a big Chia side of the operation (about 300TB added, sitting around 480TB total) plus a dedicated cell phone mining corner. I break down the main zones: the GPU mining center (a lot of 1080 Ti’s, plus 8GB and mostly 4GB RX 480s), the phone farm (boxes built to hold 55 phones each, with multiple boxes running), and the hot aisle layout where the server cases dump heat into the back wall. The big takeaway is we’re finally cycling out those older 4GB cards we’ve been using for Raven and upgrading to A4000s—we got 50 of them coming online. I also share my personal take that Ethereum’s full switch timing has been pushed before, and I’m not convinced it happens as fast as people say, but either way I like the A4000s for longer-term usefulness beyond mining (like rendering).
