About This Video

What’s going on cryptocurrency Universe—this is my 2023 home crypto mining update and a little spring-cleaning reality check. After years of doing this, I can tell you dust is your number one rig killer, so I’m going through the farm, blowing everything off, and getting machines tuned back up. I show my CPU mining setups (including the oversized server case where I stuffed three CPU miners into one box), and I talk through basic troubleshooting when a board won’t power on—start simple and check the power supply first by jumping the pins and seeing if it’ll run fans. On the storage side, my Chia wall is still rolling with about a petabyte, and honestly it’s been pretty smooth—only one dead drive so far out of roughly 80–90, plus one “pesky” drive. I also give a quick look at some older gear, my retired all-in-one GPU system, and the basement cooling setup I ran for years by pulling filtered return air through my mining box (which kept GPUs surprisingly spotless). I’m also working on getting my solar setup back into the mix—my plan is to run Verus phone mining off solar, and I’m in the middle of switching phones from batteries to hardwire. No financial advice—this is just me having fun with hardware and sharing what I’m mining and why.
