Marketplace Guitar Finds or Fails: An Initial Assessment

If it’s a day called today, we’re talking guitars and life. I’ve been on the local marketplace again, and my friends, we’ve got a haul to talk about. In this video, I’m giving an initial assessment of four guitars I picked up today—some broken, some abandoned, and all of them needing a whole lot of love. This isn't a deep dive under the hood just yet; it's the "finds or fails" overview to see if these $225 projects are actually redeemable. I purchase these on the cheap for one primary reason: to learn how to do guitar work. From a mysterious JAM brand Strat with a questionable neck "crack" to a vintage Hondao that takes me way back, we’re looking at what it takes to bring these back to life. In this assessment: Guitar 1: A mystery JAM Strat-style—is that a real neck crack? Guitar 2: A short-scale JAM with some "interesting" cheese-block shimming. Guitar 3: A Made-in-Korea Squire Strat that’s seen better days. Guitar 4: The Hondao 2—a nostalgia trip with some very weird electronics. More importantly than the gear, I'm sharing the story of how these purchases are helping a local ministry.
