In today's video, I'm attempting a challenging finish stabilization on "Big Tex," a Six Flags guitar I picked up for $40 on the local marketplace. The finish is bubbling, cracking, and chipping off with the slightest touch. I'm using thin CA glue, accelerant, and a custom wipe-on poly blend to try and lock everything down before it all flakes away. It’s a bit of an adventure with plenty of trial and error at the workbench. Grab a bowl of popcorn and a Diet Coke, and let's get into it. ____ Shoutouts: @sparkyguitars971 (Sparky) @Timmy70 (Timmay) Checkout our playlist page for more series and journeys https://www.youtube.com/@TedTalksGuitars/playlists Special Thanks to our channel members "The Jacks" Want to support the channel?
