Building "Pistol Pete" - $52 Temu Guitar Kit - Neck Prep (OSU Tribute Part 1)

We’re starting a brand new project: Pistol Pete, a $52 TEMU guitar kit that’s getting an Oklahoma State University makeover. In Part 1, we’re laying out the project plan, taking the new spindle sander on its maiden voyage to reshape the headstock into a Tele-style look, and we’re tackling the neck finishing, primer, and that first coat of "Cowboy Orange." I’m also doing something I’ve never done before—priming and painting the entire back of the neck orange. We’ll go over the challenges of taping the fingerboard, choosing the right Rustoleum colors, and why I’m saving the fret work for the very last step this time around.
