Another day, another marketplace find! Today, we are stripping down the second of four guitars from my recent storage unit haul. This is a rescue project of the highest proportions—a 1992 Squier Stratocaster made in Korea (CN serial number) that has seen better days. From "loosey-goosey" strap buttons to "stuck like chuck" volume pots and some of the weirdest brass ball-end strings I’ve ever seen, this guitar is a mess—but the bones might just be worth a rock and roll machine transformation. We’re taking it down to component level to see if we can save this thing or if it's just for parts. Grab a Diet Coke and a big bowl of popcorn, and let’s get to work!
