In this Tech Chat / Tech Q&A stream I’m basically doing what we always do: hanging out, fixing problems live, and talking through whatever tech chaos has happened this week. I kick things off with the usual stream gremlins (Streamlabs OBS/Twitch chat window doing its weird width reset thing), then we get into what I’ve been tinkering with: my new Zigbee CO2 sensor boards. They’re hilariously tiny, and I’m mid-bodge because I made a couple of classic ESP32 module mistakes (enable pin not pulled high, bootstrap pin issues) so the boards don’t boot. That means jumper wires, desoldering, and trying (and failing, so far) to repair a flex connector so I can get the particulate sensor working properly. We also get into how DRAM refresh works, SRAM vs DRAM, and why the AI bubble feels like it’s waiting for the music to stop—while also acknowledging that when it does, it won’t be painless for the wider economy.
