About This Video

In this Tech Chat livestream I’m basically doing what we always do: hanging out, answering questions, and helping people troubleshoot tech (and occasionally life). I started off running on about three brain cells because I had a proper headache, so yes—if I sound a bit slurred or extra scatterbrained, that’s why. We talk through my current desk/room chaos as I reshuffle the setup, move shelving into the loft, and make space for an electric drum kit… while also planning a sim rig for racing, flight sims, and VR because apparently I enjoy suffering. On the more “proper nerd” side, I answered questions about my response time testing tools for OLEDs—what’s changed between versions, whether it’s worth upgrading, and why the newer sensor setup can give slightly better light data even though the microcontroller is basically the same. I also shared a practical OLED testing tip: if an OLED’s ABL is messing with results, run the tool windowed (Alt+Enter) and resize it so you keep the FPS counter visible while reducing ABL interference. We also got into how I handle review units (I usually don’t buy products I review, and I disclose who provided what), how long my scripts take (roughly 1–2k words/day; monitor scripts are typically ~3–3.5k), and some early thoughts around upcoming Intel CPU launches—without breaking NDA, obviously.
