Asetek Initium Bundle: https://www.asetek.com/simsports/product/racing-bundle-i-uk/ Products provided by Asetek If, like me, you are familiar with the PC building world, you might have read the title and been rather confused why the people who made almost all closed loop watercoolers is here with a genuinely amazing sim racing kit - I was at first - but it turns out they’ve been doing this for a while, and have been doing it amazingly well. This is their latest setup, the Initium, and it is both amazing right out the box, and amazingly upgradable in a way that doesn’t feel like they are nickel and dime-ing you. Let’s take a look and you’ll see what I mean. About This Video

If you’re from the PC building world like me, seeing “Asetek” on a sim racing wheel title is a bit of a double-take moment. They’re basically *the* closed-loop watercooler people… so yeah, I was confused too. But it turns out they’ve been doing sim hardware for a while, and the Initium bundle is genuinely excellent: a three-piece kit with a direct drive wheelbase, a full-round wheel, and a two-pedal set that’s way better than it has any right to be at this price. In this video I break down the hardware, setup, software, and—most importantly—how it feels in-game. The wheelbase does 5.5Nm on the included 96W PSU (upgradeable to 8Nm), has a 14-bit encoder for 16,384-point precision, and the wheel itself gives you 21 inputs plus an addressable RGB rev strip. The pedal set uses hall effect sensors and a dual-stage brake spring, and the whole ecosystem is very upgrade-friendly (load cell or hydraulic brake upgrades, optional clutch, different wheels/grips). My main gripes are the missing clutch pedal out of the box and some really stiff wheel buttons, but the driving experience is a massive step up from something like a Logitech G923—more “real wheel in a car” and less “blender strapped to your desk.”
