I’ll say this up front, this is an amazing bit of kit. Genuinely. For gaming, this is incredibly hard to beat. About This Video

In this review I’m taking a proper look at AOC’s Q27G4SDR: a 27-inch, 1440p, 360Hz QD-OLED that’s genuinely an amazing bit of kit for gaming… and also somehow really confusing. I go over the exterior and ergonomics (it’s the usual G4 styling with red accents, no RGB, and a fully adjustable stand—including portrait both ways for reasons unknown), plus the I/O (2x HDMI, 1x DisplayPort, and a 2-port USB 3 hub with a yellow charging port). The OSD is fine, but the underlung buttons are frankly annoying. The panel performance is where the magic is. For movies/TV/YouTube it looks brilliant—vibrant, rich, and with colours that look so damn good. My SpiderX2 measured 99% DCI-P3, 83% Rec.2020, and a ridiculously good average Delta E of 0.51, with a calibration report included in the box. Brightness is the usual OLED sticking point, but in SDR it hits 240 nits and, importantly, it doesn’t suffer the same “usable brightness” cut-down from an aggressive ABL like some WOLEDs. Gaming is exactly what you’d hope: response times are functionally instant (tested with my OSRTT), latency is spot on, and it’s ludicrously smooth. The confusion is pricing—at around £500 it sits awkwardly against AOC’s own alternatives that are either much cheaper for near-equal, or only slightly more for way higher refresh rate.
