In this video, I’m unboxing and testing the Beitong Kung Fang 40 and answering the big question: is this the smartest budget gaming controller of 2025? Right out of the box, it’s clear Beitong is packing in features you don’t normally see at this price—mechanical buttons, a metal D-pad, RGB lighting, and even adjustable joystick tension (you literally rotate the ring under the stick to make it tighter or looser). I also show everything included, like the USB-A wireless dongle, USB-A to USB-C cable, and the separate charging dock with a clean magnetic-style alignment and a storage slot for the dongle. After the unboxing, I walk through the controls and modes: receiver mode (dongle), Bluetooth mode, Nintendo Switch mode, and app mode, plus M1/M2 programmable back buttons you can customize in the companion app. I also test the “air trigger” switch that changes how the triggers feel—one setting is looser, the other is more firm. Then I connect it to mobile over Bluetooth (it shows up as “Xbox wireless controller”) and jump into gameplay testing. My takeaway: for racing games and shooters, the response feels quick, latency stays low, and the connection remains stable across modes, making it a strong value controller if you want wide compatibility without spending premium money.
