About This Video

In this video, I talk about the one question that’s creating self-doubt for a lot of people right now: is coding still worth learning in 2026 when AI can write code instantly? I’m not here to hype you up—I’m here to tell you the reality. Yes, AI can assist, and yes, it can generate code. But the direction is still decided by the developer. The real skill is understanding the system: where to put the code, why you’re putting it there, how data flows, and how to make something scalable and reusable. I explain this with real-world examples like Swiggy/Zomato rider assignment and ETA updates, Instagram/YouTube feed algorithms, and Blinkit’s fast delivery routing—these are real-time systems built by teams with strong system understanding, not “just AI.” I also call out the old copy-paste tutorial mindset: if you only copy without thinking, you’re replaceable. If you can think beyond it—custom hooks, reusability, optimization, time/space complexity, and clear communication—you become irreplaceable. My final takeaway is simple: as long as problems exist, software will be needed, and as long as software is needed, developers will be needed. Stay hungry, keep upskilling, and keep giving interviews to understand the market.
